At July 30 extraordinary sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, moderated by Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, debated in the second reading the package of draft laws, adopted on the same day in the first reading at the NA extraordinary session, on Making Amendment and Addendum to the Law on Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education and the enclosed ones. According to the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Karen Trchunyan, the necessity stems from the purposes of state policy in the sphere of education.

It is proposed to provide financial support to the educational institutions implementing higher and postgraduate professional educational programmes and their students, as well as it is envisaged to include other separate groups of students in the group receiving tuition reimbursement from the state.

After the first reading, proposals were not presented.

The Chair of the Standing Committee Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the Deputy Chair Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and the deputies participating in the exchange of ideas highlighted the adoption of the legislative initiative. It has been underlined that the Government will provide the necessary financial support.

As a result of the debate, the legislative package was endorsed.
