On September 1, a special sitting dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the proclamation of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic was held in the National Assembly of Artsakh.

The sitting opened under the sounds of the national anthem of Artsakh.

The parliamentary delegation of Armenia participated in the special sitting with the extended composition: the deputies from 3 factions were included. The RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan headed the delegation.

The parliamentarians of Armenia and Artsakh first observed one minute of silence in memory of the Armenians who died in 3 wars fought for Artsakh.

After the speech by the RA NA President Artur Tovmasyan, the deputies representing the RA NA 3 political forces addressed the people of Artsakh. “Today, more than ever, it is important to mark the day of NKR proclamation, because it is a special message to the enemy,” the parliamentarians documented, adding that the Armenian spirit is unbreakable, and our victory is in unity.

The RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan first conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the RA NA President Alen Simonyan to the people of Artsakh. Touching upon the meaning of the day, Ruben Rubinyan has underlined that the preservation of the declaration of independence is the only way for Artsakh and the Armenians of Artsakh to exist.

Armen Rustamyan from the RA NA Armenia Faction has emphasized that regardless of the downfalls, the Armenian people has a strong will and ability to quickly find themselves and has added that the situation should be correctly assessed, and the lost should be restored.

In his speech, the Head of the RA NA With Honor Faction has stated that all efforts will be made in the international instances to raise the issues of realization of Artsakh’s right to self-determination and the restoration of historical justice.
