On December 28, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security convened an extraordinary sitting.
The item of the election of the Deputy Chair of the Committee was on the agenda of the extraordinary sitting.
The Chair of the Committee Andranik Kocharyan informed that the competent Civil Contract Faction did not nominate a candidate for the Deputy Chair of the Committee. He has noted that they will be led by the RA Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly until the nomination of a candidate by the Civil Contract Faction.
It should be reminded that the Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security has not been elected until this moment. The Armenia Faction who had the right to nominate a candidate for the Deputy Chair of the Committee nominated Artur Ghazinyan as a candidate who was not elected by the deputies of the ruling faction.
