On November 2, the debate of the draft law on RA State Budget for 2023 continued at the joint sitting of the Standing Committees on State and Legal Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the RA National Assembly. The financial allocations for the RA Government, state and judicial bodies, state control and corruption prevention were presented to the deputies for debate.

The RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan informed that it is planned to allocate 1 billion 686 million AMD to the Office of the RA President in 2023, which is more than the allocation of the current year by about 65 million AMD.

The allocations for the RA National Assembly will amount to 6 billion 920 million AMD in 2023, compared to 6 billion 218 million AMD for the current year. The increase in funding is due to the increase in salary rates from January 1, 2023.

19 billion 895.8 million AMD will be allocated to the RA Prime Minister’s Office next year, compared to the expected 21 billion 883.7 million AMD for the current year.

In response to the question of the Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan, the Minister clarified that the decrease in the amount to be allocated to the Prime Minister’s Office is due to some circumstances. In particular, there are programs, which will either not to be continued from 2023 or will be implemented by other bodies.

879 million AMD will be allocated to the Constitutional Court, compared to 834.6 million AMD in 2022.

16 billion 668 million AMD will be allocated to the Supreme Judicial Court. The allocation of this year will be 15 billion 149 million AMD.

It is planned to allocate 26 billion 35 million AMD to the Ministry of Justice, compared to the expected 21 billion 510 million AMD of the current year.

The financing of the General Prosecutor’s Office will amount to 7 billion 623 million AMD, and the amount of funding will be 7 billion 86 million AMD this year.

1 billion 400.8 million AMD is planned for the State Control Service in the coming year, 764.7 million AMD in the current year.

11 billion 342 million AMD will be given to the Investigative Committee in 2023, compared to the 9 billion 755 million AMD expected this year.

The Corruption Prevention Commission will organize its activities within the framework of 753.5 AMD. The amount will be 370 million AMD in the current year.

2 billion 441 million AMD will be allocated to the Anti-Corruption Committee in the coming year, compared to 1 billion 14.6 million AMD of the current year.

The Central Electoral Commission will receive 1 billion 376.8 million AMD.

The Minister also presented the 2021 financial allocations.
