On November 17, the delegation led by the Head of Armenia-Germany Friendship Group Vladimir Vardanyan met in the Saxony-Anhalt of the Landtag (State Parliament) of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) with the President Doctor Gunnar Schellenberger.

Vladimir Vardanyan thanked the President of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt for the warm reception, assuring that it will become a bearer of ensuring continuity of further cooperation.

Being immensely impressed by the visit to Armenia, Gunnar Schellenberger documented that the directions of further cooperation with Armenia and the prospects of effective cooperation are already outlined.

At the meeting the realistic opportunities of cooperation on the spheres of culture and agriculture were especially underlined. The sides expressed hope that the parliamentarians will serve as a bridge for the further mutual contacts of those spheres.

The speakers expressed confidence on readiness of forming constructive and friendly relations between the parliaments, to which the professional substantive meetings of continuous character will contribute.

The parties assured that in the near future professional Committees aimed at the deepening of cooperation will be formed.

The deputies Mikayel Tumasyan, Lilit Kirakosyan, Shirak Torosyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Khzmalyan and the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to FRG Viktor Yengibaryan also attended the meeting.
