On June 8, 2023 Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed the Agreement on Free Trade in Services, Establishment, Operations and Investment Free Trade Services in Sochi. The purpose of the Agreement is the wider economic cooperation in the services, trade, investments between the states and creating favourable conditions for mutual benefit. The Agreement stems from the contract On Free Trade Zone. The framework of the trade is expanded, also spreading the sphere of services.
The cross-border trade in services, the creation of the companies and activity sphere, the circle of the issues regarding the physical movement of natural persons through the territories of participating states and being temporary, as well as the investment activity.
The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Sevak Mikayelyan presented for debate issue regarding the Agreement on Free Trade in Services, Establishment, Operations and Investment Free Trade Services at the NA sitting.
According to the Deputy Minister, the provisions of the draft do not contradict the requirements of the EEU legal acts in the mentioned sphere. It is designed by the assessment that the implementation of the Agreement will increase the volume of the services by about 25%.
The Standing Committee on Economic Affairs endorsed the issue. The Committee member Karen Hambardzumyan informed this.
