On October 4, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan participated in the panel discussion on Building a Sustainable Tech Ecosystem.

Welcoming the attendees, the RA NA Vice President spoke about the importance of the legislation regulating the sphere, noted that the goal of the legislative body is to assist the Government for making the policy of the sphere more effective and applicable.

In the context of the development of the ecosystem the NA Vice President touched upon also the effective use of the Diaspora potential and highlighted the joint work. In the sustainable development of the sector Hakob Arshakyan highly assessed the investments being made in education and science.

Reference was made to the importance of the work of the Science and Technology Development Council under the leadership of the RA Prime Minister. The NA Vice President underscored the involvement of the well-known scientists, entrepreneurs, state officials and Diaspora potential in those works. In this context the work of the Executive Committee of the Council was presented.

The speakers of the panel discussion answered the participants’ questions, referred to the new initiatives aimed at the support of the sustainable tech ecosystem in Armenia, spoke about the work being done in that direction, the achievements and challenges of our country in the sphere. It was underlined that building sustainable tech ecosystem in Armenia is of priority.

Let us note that on October 4-6 the greatest tech exhibition of the region – DigiTec is held. The public has an opportunity to see and to get acquainted with the tech companies and their developments. A number of famous and new tech companies are presented for the first time from the local, as well as the international markets.
