The draft law on Amending the Law on Specially Protected Areas of Nature was debated in the second reading at an extraordinary sitting of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection.

There were no written proposals during the period from the first to the second reading. This was reported by the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Simidyan. The regulation concerns the possibility of obtaining a water use permit in the reserve, if the purpose of the water use is drinking or irrigation water and there is no alternative in the area.

The issue has been endorsed by the Committee.
