On October 6, the RA NA draft statement on the National Crisis and the Governance Failure, authored by the RA NA With Honor Faction, was debated at the regular sitting of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

The Head of the Faction Hayk Mamijanyan informed that there were parliamentary hearings referring to the statement. He noted that during the hearings, the RA NA Armenia Faction announced its accession to the initiated process.

Hayk Mamijanyan answered the deputies’ questions, presenting the clarifications on the text of the draft statement.

The co-rapporteur Arusyak Julhakyan, presenting her observations, noted that both the statement and the initiated process are untimely, proposing not to endorse the NA draft statement.

The deputies made speeches on the draft statement, presenting their observations. The Committee Chair Vladimir Vardanyan addressed the questions and speeches raised by the deputies. He called on to vote in favor of the draft statement.

In his final speech, Hayk Mamijanyan also referred to the speeches and observations.

The Committee did not endorse the draft statement by voting.
