It is proposed to bring regulation of Judicial Code into line with decision of the Constitutional Court

It is designed by the legislative proposal to bring the regulation of the Judicial Code into line with the decision of the Constitutional Court. Accordingly, the decisions to subject a judge and a member of the Supreme Judicial Council to disciplinary liability, as well as to terminate their powers or to initiate criminal prosecution or to grant consent to their deprivation of liberty, should be adopted by a majority vote of the total number of members of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Dadunts presented for debate the legislative regulation in the first reading at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

The Deputy Chair of the Committee Arusyak Julhakyan in her co-report proposed to endorse the issue.

The draft law was endorsed.
