In 2026, 374 million drams will be allocated to the Television and Radio Commission. The Chairman of the Commission Tigran Hakobyan noted that the structure implements one programme, hence the financial means to be provided will be sufficient. The rapporteur touched upon the work to be done in the Commission during the upcoming electoral processes next year. It was noted that 12 million drams will be needed to carry out monitoring and control functions during that period.

Tigran Hakobyan answered the MPs’ questions, referring to the necessity to create public interest programmes.

In 2026, it is designed to allocate about 8 billion 300 million drams for the Public Broadcaster Council. According to the Chairman of the Council of Public Broadcaster Vasak Darbinyan, within the framework of the General and Information-Oriented Television Services event, it is designed to implement round-the-clock broadcasting of television programmes in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Audiovisual Media on the First Channel, International Channel and News Channel audiovisual programmes of the Public Television Company, each with an airtime of 8760 hours.
