At the joint sitting of the Standing Committees on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Protection of Environment and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs on November 4, the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan presented the budgetary allocations and the programmes to be implemented for 2026 of the agricultural sector.
According to the Minister, most of the funds to be allocated to the Ministry of Economy in the 2026 state budget, 39.4 billion drams, will be directed to the agricultural sector for the implementation of 5 projects.
According to Gevorg Papoyan, in particular, 10.1 billion drams are designed for the promotion of agriculture, 3.1 billion drams for the procurement of agricultural raw materials, 700 million drams will be allocated to interest rates on loans provided to the rural sector, state support for the implementation of RA rural programs - 317 million drams, 264 million drams will be directed to the field of state policy for viticulture and winemaking, 29 million drams for plant protection measures - about 29 million drams, seeds for quality control - 55.8 million drams, for vaccination of farm animals - 1.74 billion drams, for the numbering and registration of large and small cattle - 462 million drams will be allocated from the 2026 state budget.
The Minister of Economy also answered the MPs’ questions.
