According to the 2026 state budget, it is planned to allocate 3 billion 516 million 898 thousand drams to the Anti-Corruption Committee, which is 53 million 126 thousand drams more compared to 2025. This was stated by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vahan Sirunyan.
19 billion 205 million 877 thousand drams will be allocated to the RA Investigative Committee next year. The Deputy Minister noted that the expenditures have increased by 219 million 653 thousand drams compared to 2025.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan informed that the Committee will implement 1 main programme with 5 measures. Compared to 2025, there is an increase in the amount to be allocated for the implementation of the programme next year which is due to the natural growth of the salary fund with the introduction of the guard service from January 1, 2026. “The aim of the programme is to organize and conduct preliminary investigations into alleged crimes under the jurisdiction of the Committee in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code,” the rapporteur underlined and detailed the measures to be implemented within the framework of the programme.
Artur Poghosyan, answering the MPs’ questions, emphasized that according to the data for the nine months of 2025, the number of petitions for detentions decreased by 16.4% compared to the previous year. The rapporteur noted that maximum efforts are made not to disrupt the activities of economic entities during the searches.
The programme “Ensuring the Detection and Investigation of Corruption Crimes” is included in the 2026 budget request of the Anti-Corruption Committee, the purpose of which is to conduct the investigation of criminal proceedings assigned to the Anti-Corruption Committee in accordance with the RA Criminal Procedure Code and to ensure relevant functions established by the Law on Operational Intelligence Activities. This was reported by the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Artur Nahapetyan. He noted that according to the programme, 3 measures will be implemented: the detection and investigation of corruption crimes, the reserve fund of the Anti-Corruption Committee, retraining, and the organization of special training.
