On November 25 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan met with the delegation of the Swedish Consultative Company (SPCY) being in Armenia at the invitation of the German Agency for International Cooperation/ Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The guests have informed the attendees that they are in Armneia at the invitation of the GIZ to study the process of the programme budgeting investment in Armenia.
Welcoming the guests Mr Minasyan has noted that the Committee led by him effectively cooperates with the GIZ and the USAID. Presenting the programme budgeting reforms in Armenia he has noted that the process in Armenia has begun about 10 years ago. He has opined that only the efforts of the government are sufficient for expecting successful result of the programme budgeting. In this process Mr Minasyan has highlighted the participation of the parliament and the civil society and has presented the steps undertaken and the events of the parliament in the programme budgeting investment, particularly the Committee led by him. In this issue the Committee Chairman has emphasized the establishment of the Budgetary Office in the parliament, which will provide professional support and information to the deputies.
Gagik Minasyan has thoroughly presented the phases of the programme budgeting process in Armenia, the schedule and procedures of the budgeting discussions in the parliament.
