On January 30 the next sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs was held moderated by Hovhannes Sahakyan.

After approving the agenda the Committee postponed the debate of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Criminal Code” and “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements” authored by the deputies of the NA Rules of Law faction Hovhannes Maragaryan, Heghine Bisharyan, Levon Dokholyan, Ishkhan Khachatryan and Mher Shahgeldyan.

Then in the first reading the package of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Protection of Personal Data” and on Amending a number of related laws.

The draft law with the endorsement will be included in the draft law of the NA four-day sittings agenda.

On the same day the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government moderated by Stepan Margaryan at the sitting in the first reading debated two legislative packages.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan presented the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan” with enclosed legislative package, relating to founding of private cemeteries.

The Committee Chairman proposed to create a working group, taking into consideration the fact that in the NA another draft law concerning the same theme by the deputies of the Rule of Law faction is in circulation.

The Committee also debated the legislative package envisaging amendments to the law “On Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan” and to a number of related laws submitted by the First Deputy of the Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan.

The package with the endorsement of the Committee will be included in the draft law of the agendas of the NA Spring and upcoming four-day sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment moderated by Martun Grigoryan convened the first sitting of 2015. The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Emil Tarasyan presented first item of the agenda, the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Cash Register Operations.”

The draft law was endorsed and will be included in the draft law of the NA Spring session agenda.

The Committee also approved the schedule of the citizens’ reception being held by the members of the Committee during February-June, 2015.

The NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan in the second reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Parties” authored by the deputies Galust Sahakyan, Hayk Babukhanyan, Margarit Yesayan and Karine Atchemyan.

The bill with the endorsement of the Committee will be included in the draft laws of the agendas of the NA seventh session and upcoming four-day sittings.

On the same day the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan debated the agreement “On Founding the International Organization of Grapes and Wine” signed in Paris on 3 April 2001, which presented the RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture Armen Harutyunyan. The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Sergey Avetisyan submitted the agreement “On Air Transport between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Government of the Republic of Austria.”

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan presented the statute of The Hague conference “On Private International Law” adopted on 31 October 1951.

The RA Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan presented five agreements on the activities in the universe.

The considered international agreements received 11 for votes and with the endorsement of the Committee will be submitted for the ratification of the parliament.
