On November 24 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan visited the House of Culture of Parakar Community of Armavir Marz to meet with residents of the community.

The NA deputies Vahram Baghdasaryan and Arakel Movsisyan attended the meeting.

The Head of the legislative body laid flowers at the memorial stone dedicated to the victims of Artsakh heroic battle.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, the President of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan talked about the process of the Constitutional reforms of public interest and the possibilities given by the draft law.

The Head of the parliament has noted that the Constitution is the basic law of the country, which established the fundamental relations between a man and a state. Galust Sahakyan has added that the main goals of the Constitutional reforms under proposal at present are to establish a sustainable democratic system and the guaranteeing of the rule of law. The NA President has underlined that the problems of restrictions of the main rights have undergone radical revision in the draft law.

The NA President has also touched upon the system of government of the Republic of Armenia, the communities enlargement pilot program and the proportional and the majoritarian elections.

During the warm and sincere meeting the attendees addressed their questions to the NA President, and he gladly answered them. The questions mainly referred to the procedure of the Constitutional amendments.
