On December 19, the Chair of the RA National Assembly Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia George Saganelidze.

Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming the post, Koryun Nahapetyan wished successes in the implementation of his diplomatic mission.

In the course of the meeting issues concerning the bilateral relations, regional security, the strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation in international different organizations and bilateral organizations.

Koryun Nahapetyan underlined the necessity of the implementation of the joint programmes in the format of the parliamentary relevant Committees in the context of discussing issues on the development of the political dialogue, security and defense spheres, the exchange of parliamentary oversight experience and other agenda issues. The interlocutors highlighted the continuity of the efforts aimed at the peaceful settlement of the regional conflicts, underlining that the appeals of their solution through military endanger the security and stability of the region.

The Ambassador Saganelidze in his turn expressed readiness promoting the strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
