On March 1, a group of teachers and pupils of Jermuk Educational Complex visited the National Assembly within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme.

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan conducted the open lesson.

Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Mrs Naghdalyan touched upon the activities of the parliament of the fifth convocation, the constitutional amendments and the parliamentary system of government.

The NA Deputy Speaker presented the advantages of the parliamentary system of government and the issues concerning the expansion of the political forces’ possibilities.

At the pupils’ request, Hermine Naghdalyan also touched upon the national elections of April 2 and the new Electoral Code. Mrs Naghdalyan highlighted the creation of the atmosphere of trust in the society and the process of the establishment of democracy.

During the unconstrained conversation Mrs Naghdalyan gladly answered the questions concerning the pupils, which related to the parliamentary system of government, emigration problems, security of our region, economic strengthening of the state, as well as issues regarding their settlement.

At the end of the meeting the pupils and the teachers were taken a photo with the NA Deputy Speaker in the plenary session hall.
