Meeting at RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs

On September 6, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan received the members of the organisation Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) Jamilia Sherova (GAVI Senior Country Manager), Johanna Wishnevska (GAVI Senior Manager) and Gayane Sahakyan (Immunisation Programme Manager of the RA Ministry of Health Care).

The member of the RA NA Way Out Faction Lena Nazaryan took part in the meeting.

Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Hakob Hakobyan has highlighted the cooperation of the organisation Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation and the RA Government and has noted that the world has already recognized the vaccination as the best tool for prevention and believes that the purposeful and exact use of the vaccination is the best way of disease prevention.

Thanking the Committee Chair for the reception the GAVI members have stated that the goal of their visit is to get acquainted with the Armenia-GAVI cooperation problems and possible gaps. The guests also emphasized the fact that the programmes aimed at the disease prevention in Armenia are the best in the region.

Hakob Hakobyan highlighted the continuity of cooperation with the organisaton.
