On September 22, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ara Babloyan received the Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, Armenian Professor, Lord Ara Darzi. The RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Armen Sargsyan attended the meeting.
Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Ara Babloyan spoke with praising about the great contribution of the high qualified surgeon in the development of medicine and surgery.
Highlighting Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, the Head of the Parliament particularly has noted that the development of democracy, the protection of human rights and the development of the spheres of education and health care are priorities in Armenia.
The interlocutors emphasized the implementation of the joint programmes in the sphere of health care and the exchange of experience. A number of issues concerning the Child Development and Rehabilitation Armenian Centres were also discussed.
