Meeting of OSCE PA Special Representative on the South Caucasus in YSU

On September 30, the OSCE PA Special Representative on the South Caucasus Kristian Vigenin and the Head of the Armenian Delegation to OSCE PA Hermine Naghdalyan met with the students and lecturers of YSU Faculty of International Relations.

The meeting was organized by the proposal of the OSCE PA Special Representative on the South Caucasus.

Welcoming the attendees, Kristian Vigenin presented the importance of the OSCE PA activities in the region with regards to providing peace, his role as a specialist in the ongoing processes in the South Caucasus.

The Special representative has highlighted the meetings with the youth, during which an attempt is also made to find the resolution of establishing universal peace in the region.

Kristian Vigenin answered the numerous students’ questions, which mainly related to the settlement of Artsakh problem through peaceful means, the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, the protection of human rights, the Azerbaijani so called ‘black list.’

The Head of the Armenian Delegation to OSCE PA Hermine Naghdalyan emphasized the fact that the young people’s questions expressed not the Armenian side’s positions relating to Artsakh problem, but they were voiced in terms of international law.

In Hermine Naghdalyan’s word: “Our guest’s claim that the peoples are not enemies; our young people once again proved with their interpellations. We have no hatred against any country, but we have demands, and they should be satisfied, stemming from the logics of the international relations. I think that through this way our young people would solve all our problems.”
