On October 5, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittingsby voting passing the bills and agreements debated on the previous day.

By the proposal of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan the deputies welcomed the pupils and teachers of Ararat Goletsyan Basic School N 1 of the City of Artashat of Ararat Marz hosted within the framework of the Open Doors programme of the National Assembly.

The deputies congratulated the teachers on Teacher’s Day by the proposal of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan.

Draft laws on ratifying a number of agreements were debated.

The deputies continued debating and expressing their viewpoints on the draft law on ratifying agreements.

The deputies of the RA NA Way Out Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan and Nikol Pashinyan expressed their viewpoints on one of the draft laws.

The key speakers Koryun Nahapetyan and Artak Zakaryan touched upon the deputies’ concerns.

The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan and the RA Deputy Minister Armen Hayrapetyan presented for debate draft laws on ratifying agreements.

The NA deputy Rafik Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee, the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.

Afterwards the Head of the State Property Management Department adjunct to the RA Government Arman Sahakyan presented for debate the draft law on Approving the Annual Report for 2016 on the Implementation of the State Property Privatization Programme for 2006-2007.

The NA deputy Gagik Melikyan presented the endorsement of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan presented for debate the draft law on ratifying the Minamata Convention /with enclosed statement/ on Sulphur signed in Kumamoto on 10 October 2013.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan in his speech has noted that the ratification of the document is of environmental and health care importance.

It is proposed to strengthen the role of environmental education and upbringing in the educational system.

Artsvik Minasyan also presented the draft law on Amending the RA law on Ecological Education and Upbringing of Population.
