On October 18 the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh Republic (AR) Vahram Balayan. The AR NA Representative Karen Topchyan also attended the meeting.

Welcoming his colleague the RA NA deputy Speaker expressed satisfaction over the constructive cooperation and existing between the two parliaments and effective meetings. Eduard Sharmazanov has assured that the delegations of the RA National Assembly always defend the fair cause of Artsakh people and present the Artsakh people’s problems in all Parliamentary Assemblies.

“There is no alternative for Artsakh independence: the further destiny is the problem of Artsakh people’s decision,” the RA NA Deputy Speaker documented.

In Mr Sharmazanov’s opinion, steps should be taken for activating the foreign parliamentary delegations’ visits to Artsakh in order all of them could see the democratic Artsakh.

In his turn Vahram Balayan has underlined the high level of the relations existing between the two parliaments and has added that they constantly feel the support of the RA National Assembly. Mr Balayan has noted that the parliamentarians of Artsakh regularly meet with the deputies of Armenia and representatives of the government, discuss issues relating to the cooperation in different spheres and exchange of experience.
