Working Discussion at RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs

On November 1, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs organized working discussion on the main problems of the policy of the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments for 2018. The Committee members, representatives of the Ministry, responsible NGOs took part in the discussion.

The Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan noted that the goal of the discussion was to clarify the policy being pursued by the Ministry and the conceptual versions of the solution of the problems.

The Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan has presented the economic model, which is designed by the budgetary document of the next year.

In their questions the participants of the discussion touched upon the factors promoting the economic growth rates, the availability of the goods providing stable dynamic growth in export, the possible risks in the export, the development of the production sub-structures and the import of the production new technologies, the training of the human resources and other issues. They highlighted the boosting of the production volumes, the decently presenting of the local production in the international exhibitions, the provision of the investment attractiveness, the development of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the events aimed at the improvement of the business environment and the establishment of the Business Ombudsman Institute.

At the end of the meeting it was noted that the discussions in such format would be continuous.
