On November 10, the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by the member of the Committee Alik Sargsyan was held.

The draft law on Amending the RA Law on Amending the RA Law on the Citizens Who Have Not Passed Compulsory Military Service by the Violation of the Established Order enjoyed the Committee members' endorsement. Before voting the key speaker Karine Atshemyan noted that the disputable issues were regulated in the revised version.

The RA draft law on Defense was debated in the second reading. The RA First Deputy Minister Artak Zakaryan noted that the draft law was revised on the basis of the deputies' recommendations.

The deputies rejected the recommendations made by the deputies of the NA Way Out faction.

The RA First Minister of Defense Artak Zakaryan also presented in the second reading the draft law on Military Service and Serviceman's Status.

The debated draft laws were endorsed by the Committee.

The Committee endorsed the RA draft law on the RA State Budget for 2018 on legality and substantiation of the expenditures containing state and office secrecy.
