On November 15, the RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov met with the lecturers and students of Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University and Urartu University.
Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Eduard Sharmazanov highlighted this format of the meeting with the students which gives an opportunity to get informed about the issues concerning the representatives of the new generation and get exhaustive answers.
Mr Sharmazanov presented the work of the legislative body, touched upon the draft law on the RA State Budget for 2018 being under debate in the parliament now.
Afterwards the meeting went on in the Q & A format, during which various issues concerning the students were discussed relating to the education, the labour market demands, emigration, the draft law on Military Service and Serviceman’s Status adopted in the second reading.
Answering the students’ questions the RA NA Vice President has noted that today the education in our country is at higher level than during the Soviet years, as the information flows are much more. In response to the students’ concern about labour market and emigration, Eduard Shramazanov urged them to study well and be competitive, love the Motherland and don’t be disappointed with anything. “To achieve success we should aspire, and every people should be originators of their own destiny,” Eduard Sharmazanov said.
The visitors took a tour in the parliament building, and observed the work of the sittings.
