On December 7, the pupils and the teachers of Yerevan Hovhannes Hovhannisyan N 52 Basic School visited the parliament within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme.

The guests took a tour in the parliament building, observed the work of the NA regular sittings. The RA NA deputy Ruzanna Muradyan conducted the open lesson which had already become traditional.

Welcoming the guests in the RA National Assembly, Ruzanna Muradyan presented the structure of the parliament, touched upon its activities, the political forces represented in the parliament, the procedures of the debate of the legislative initiatives and the functions of the Standing Committees.

She presented the steps taken in Armenia after the Constitutional reforms and the works of the legislation.

Afterwards, the RA NA deputy answered the pupils’ questions which related to the problems of the sphere of education, choosing the demanded profession in the labour market, the positive and negative sides of the 12-year educational system and other numerous issues.

Ruzanna Muradyan urged the pupils to be engaged in self-education.
