On December 7, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings.

By the proposal of the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan the deputies in one-minute silence honoured the memory of the victims of the disastrous earthquake occurred this day in 1988.

Afterwards the parliament continued the draft law on Prevention Domestic Violence, Protection of the Persons Subjected to Domestic Violence and Restoration of Solidarity in the Family with legislative package.

In her final speech the RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan has urged her colleagues not to relate to the draft law a role that it does not have and cannot have.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vigen Kocharyan touched upon the deputies’ concerns and criticism.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Social Support of the Borderline Communities, the legislative package on Amending the RA Law on State Service in the NA Staff and on Amending the RA Law on Public Service, the package of bills on Amending the RA Judicial Code and on Amending the RA Administrative Procedure Code was debated in the second reading and for completely passing them.

During the sitting the legislators welcomed the pupils and the teachers of Hovhannes Hovhannisyan N 52 Basic School, who had visited the parliament within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Petitions, on Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government and the enclosed package, the draft law on Amending the RA Law on State and Office Secret, the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Code, the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Compulsory Enforcement Service of Judicial Acts and the package of the draft laws, the package of the draft laws on Amending the RA Law on Notary and on Making Addendum.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hrayr Tovmasyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan and the RA NA deputies Artak Zeynalyan, Rustam Makhmudyan, Mane Tandilyan, Karine Atshemyan expressed their viewpoints and concerns on the draft laws under debate.

The RA NA deputy Vardevan Grigoryan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Financial Leveling in the second reading.

The NA deputy Harutiun Karapoghosyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code.

The RA NA deputy Aram Sargsyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The Chairman of the Control Chamber Levon Yolyan presented the draft law on Approving the Annual programme of the RA Control Chamber for 2018.

The RA NA deputy Vardevan Grigoryan presented the draft law on making Addendum to the RA Law on Approval of List of Goods Imported by Organization and Private Entrepreneurs, That Have '0' Customs Duty Rate and are Not Subject to Excise Taxation and Their Import is Exempted from Value Added Tax and it was debated in the first reading procedure.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Sergey Bagratyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The draft law on Amending the RA law on Protection of Economic Competition was debated in the second reading and for completely passing it.

The draft law on Audit Chamber, on Making Addendum to the RA law on Auditing Activity and the package of the enclosed bills was debated in the first reading. The key speaker Gagik Minasyan presented the main provisions and notions of the draft law.

The RA NA deputies Samvel Nikoyan, Mane Tandilyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Arpine Hovhannisyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan expressed their viewpoints on the draft law.

The bill on Amending the RA Tax Code was debated in the first reading.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Khosrov Harutyunyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The National Assembly will continue the work of the sitting on December 8.
