RA NA Council Extraordinary Sitting Held

On January 12, the RA NA Council extraordinary sitting, presided over by the RA NA President Ara Babloyan, was held.

By the decision of the Council an addendum to the decision on Increasing the Number of the Experts of a Series of Committees of the National Assembly, by which the number of the experts of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration was increased by one person.

Amendments were made to the decision on Approving the Compositions of the NA Delegations in the International Parliamentary Organizations: Karine Atsemyan would replace Hermine Naghdalyan in the RA Parliamentary delegation to PACE, and Shushan Sardaryan would replace Karine Atshemyan in the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Amendments and Addenda were made to the decision on Approving the Order of the Formation and Activity of the RA NA Delegations in the International Parliamentary Organizations.

The Council approved the orders of the formation and activity of the RA NA Delegations in the International Parliamentary Organizations, as well as the RA NA Friendship Groups. It has been noted that the draft decision has a goal to provide the efficiency of the activities of the delegations and the Friendship Groups.

The draft laws of the agendas of the third session of the RA NA sixth convocation, as well as the regular sittings being convened on January 15 were approved. 39 items were included in the draft law of the session agenda, 26 items – in the draft law of the regular sittings’ agenda. The sequence and duration of the debate of the agenda items of the regular sittings were also set out.

A decision was made to allocate 90 minutes for the debate of the law on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Games of Chance, Games on Internet and Casinos and for the RA NA Statement draft laws on Condemnation of the Genocidal Actions towards the Yezidis in the Territories of the Republic of Iraq being under the Control of Terrorist Groupings.
