On January 16, within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme the pupils and the teachers of Gyumri N 1 Senior School visited the parliament. The guests took a tour in the building of the National Assembly and observed the work of the regular sitting.
The RA NA deputy Karine Atshemyan conducted the open lesson. Welcoming the pupils in the National Assembly, the deputy presented the structure of the parliament, touched upon its activities, the political forces represented in the National Assembly, the functions of the Standing Committees and the Friendship Groups. Karine Atshemyan also presented the steps to be taken in Armenia and the works of harmonisation of the legislation after the Constitutional reforms.
The RA NA deputy also answered the questions concerning the pupils which related to the problems of the spheres of economy and education.
At the end of the meeting Mrs Atshemyan urged the pupils to study well and love the Motherland.
