On February 13, the RA NA Vice President, Member of Armenia-Kazakhstan Friendship Group Mikayel Melkumyan, the Member of the RA NA Tsarukyan Faction received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Timur Urazayev.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the RA NA Vice President Mikayel Melkumyan has documented with satisfaction that the Armenian-Kazakh inter-parliamentary relations effectively develop, where the Parliamentary Friendship Groups play significant role.

In the course of the meeting issues regarding the inter-parliamentary and economic relations, the development of communication, and especially the possibilities and ways of the increase of goods turnover between the two countries were discussed. Both sides highlighted the organization of the Armenian-Kazakh business-forums. To the interlocutors’ assessment, the solution of the logistic problems is of special importance in the development of trade-economic ties between the two countries.

The parties also touched upon the cooperation on the international parliamentary platforms and emphasized the mutually beneficial work.

The sides talked about the NK conflict settlement. The Ambassador Timur Urazayev has documented that in this issue his country has a balanced and constructive position and supports the peaceful settlement process of the problem.
