The Flag

The law "On the State Flag of the Republic of Armenia" was passed on August 24, 1990 by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia, and the new law "On the Flag of the Republic of Armenia" was passed on June 15, 2006 by the National Assembly. The Flag of the Republic of Armenia is tricolor with three equal horizontal stripes of red, blue and orange (from top to bottom).

The Coat of Arms

The law "On the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia" was passed on April 19, 1992, by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia. The Coat of Arms of the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920) was restored, the authors of which are Academician of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Architect Alexander Tamanian and painter Hakob Kojoyan. The National Assembly passed the new law "On the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia" on June 15, 2006.

The Anthem

The Anthem of the Republic of Armenia, "Mer Hayrenik" ("Our Fatherland"), was passed on July 1, 1991, by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia as the Anthem of the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920). The National Assembly passed the law "On the Anthem of the Republic of Armenia" on December 25, 2006.
