“Distinguished Mr Supreme Commander,

The RA Parliament,

Dear Armenian people in the Republic of Armenia, in Artsakh Republic and Diaspora, our dear sisters and brothers of the national minorities living and fighting next to us.

A war is declared, a large-scale and severe war, where the enemy does not want to win us, the enemy wants to destroy us. The Republic of Azerbaijan, despite numerous assurances, does not want to include the Armenians of Artsakh in the Republic of Azerbaijan and give them citizenship, with the rights and obligations stemming from it. Azerbaijan wants Artsakh without Armenians of Artsakh. This is an undoubted fact, otherwise the total campaign of Armenian xenophobia that through many years has been developed in Azerbaijan: from the poems of the kindergarten, school textbooks to the higher educational institutions, to the yard, to the television, to the media, where the Armenians are declared enemies. Azerbaijan would not threaten to destroy the nuclear power plant, conquer Yerevan, would not kill the sleeping Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan, would not cut the dead old man’s ears in Talish. A war is declared to us, where the enemy’s goal is everybody’s death, our physical annihilation, non-existence: we shall record this, because our actions shall emanate from this. Thus, the issue of the Armenian people’s existence is given, and we do not have choice: there is no second, third, fourth, any version, there is no alternative, we shall fight with fire, sword, with possible or impossible means. We shall fight in order we live, in order our people live, in order the Armenian people continue their right of existence and existence, as they have done through many millennia. This situation is not new for us: I am repeating: we have had Sardarapats (battles for existence) through millennia.

I would like once again to assure, and all of us assure that when the nations were divided on the Earth planet, the Armenian nation is one of the first nations as a separate ethnic unit, and if ever the sunset of this planet takes place, then we, as a separate and independent unit, will be one of those meeting that sunset. We have been and we’ll continue to live, but for that we shall fight, because, I am repeating, there is no other version. We are going to defend our Motherland and to impose long-lasting peace on the enemy.

I would like once again to assure you from this tribune: the freedom of Artsakh and moreover the physical security, the RA freedom, independence, the Armenian people’s physical security are not bargained and will not be bargained. And hence, we shall win, because there is no other version.

On behalf of the NA Factions I (also announcements of other political extra-parliamentary forces caught my eye) would like to express the unity and support of the political field to the RA Armed forces and its Supreme Chief Commander.

Long live the Armenian people! Let the Right Hand of God be on the head of our soldier, our people and our state.

Long live Armenia! Long live Artsakh!”
