On October  17, 2018, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport  Tigran Urikhanyan  met with rectors of universities, members of the   "Council of rectors of Armenian universities accredited at the state level" NGO Boris Makichyan (Northern University), Zaven Sargsyan ( Yerevan University named after Mesrop Mashtots), Arthur Aghababyan (Yerevan University named after Movses Khorenatsi), Liana Azizbekyan (Yerevan agricultural University), Mileta Khalapyan (Yerevan University of Management) and Sedrak Sedrakyan (Urartu University).

During the meeting were discussed   issues related to the education system, in particular, problems related to the distance learning, issues related to the state graduation and unified examinations, as well as was emphasized the importance of the issue of modernization of the activities of non-state accredited universities.
