Born on April 7, 1964 in Yerevan.

1986 - Graduated from the Yerevan State University. Lawyer.

1979 - 1981 - Designer in the “Taterahushanver” factory.

1987 - 1990 - Personnel inspector at the “Erebouni” Scientific and Industrial Union.

1990 - 1991 - Legal advisor in the ‘Gor - 4” Production Cooperative Company.

1991 - 1993 - Head of a production unit in the Knitted Wear factory for the Deaf #1.

1993 -1995 - Trade representative of the RA Ministry of Industry in Iran and also Chief Specialist in Foreign Relations.

1998 - 2003 - President of the Council of the “Noubarashen” Poultry Factory OJSC.

2003 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #13.)

Till 22 May 2006 - Member of the “Rule of Law” party and faction.

Since May 25, 2006 - Head of the "Gortsarar" deputy group.

June 2003 - September 2004 - Member of the  Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

Since September 2004 - Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #11.) Member of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly from the electoral district #11.

Married, with two children.
