Born on May 10, 1963 in the village of Avshar in the Ararat region.

1989 - Graduated from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. Economist.

1982 -1984 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1989 - Senior inspector in Ararat Tax Inspectorate.

1991-1994 - Ran a private farm.

Since 1995 -  President of the Board of Directors of Avshar Wine Factory.

2003 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional system, ARF.) Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the "Armenian Revolutionary Federation" faction.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional system, ARF.)

June 19, 2007 - July 11, 2008 - Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly.

July 11, 2007 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government of the National Assembly.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly   from the electoral district #20.

Married, with four children.
