Born on March 3, 1958 in Yerevan.

1979 - Graduated from the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.

2003 - Graduated from Yerevan University of Finance-Banking and Stock Exchange. Teacher. Economist - Financier. He is a full member of the International Academy of Sciences on Nature and Society. He is the author of a number of articles on economic sphere.

1979 - 1982 - Teacher at schools in Aparan.

1982 -1984 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1984 - 1990 - Different posts in the executive committees of the Yerevan municipality and Soviet District Council.

1991 - 1995 - Deputy of the Yerevan Shengavit District Council.

1993 - 1998 - General Director in the factory of the “Model Shoes” of the Textile Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Chair of the board.

1998 - 2001, 2001 - 2004 and 2004 - 2007 - Head of the Shengavit community.

1999 - Founded “Shengavit” charitable fund.

1999 - 2001 - Representative of the Republic of Armenia in the local self-government chamber of the Council of Europe. 2002 - Elected President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia.

2005 and 2006 - Re-elected.

2003 - 2004 - President of the Council of the Heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of CIS countries. Member of Association of World Trade Chambers, Heads of European Chamber, Councils of Commerce and Industry of CIS countries and Councils of Commerce and Industry of Black Sea Basin countries.

Since 2003 - Member of Trustees, Council of the National Centre of Development of Small and Medium Enterprise.

2009 - Member of the Budgetary Committee of Inter - Parliamentary Assembly of CIS countries. Honorable citizen of Shengavit Community (2006.) Chairman of RPA Board of Shengavit community.

1998 - 1999 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #3.) Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Yerkrapah” deputy group. Member of the RPA.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA.) June 19, 2007 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the RPA Council.

May 6, 2012 - Elected  Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia. Member of the RPA Council.
