Born on April 1, 1962 in Yerevan.

1983 - Graduated from the Faculty of Economics Planning of the Yerevan State National Institute of Economy (ASUE). Economist.

1994, 1997 and 1998 - Trained at the Chamber of Commerce and the University of Lyon, “Paris 12” (France). Doctor, Professor of Economics.

1987 - 1990 - Lecturer at Industrial Economics Chair of ASUE.

1994 - 1995 - Expert for the Standing Committee on local self-government affairs of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia.

1999 - 2000 - Head of Staff of the Ministry of Social Safety of the Republic of Armenia.

2000 - Professor of the Chair of Microeconomics and Business Organization of the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE).

2000 - 2003 - Deputy Minister for the State Property Management of the Republic of Armenia.

December 9, 2018 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the “Prosperous Armenia” party.

January 18, 2019 - Elected Chair of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

2016 - Awarded the “Mkhitar Gosh” Medal.

2019 - Awarded the “Contribution to the Development of Eurasian Economic Union” Medal.

The author of more than 130 scientific works, including monographs and textbooks.
