Born on May 8, 1987 in Leninakan (now Gyumri).

2010 - 2012 - Served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

2008 - Graduated from the Faculty of International Relations of Yerevan State University.

2015 - Post-graduate of the same Faculty.

Candidate of Historical Sciences.

2010 - MS degree of the same Faculty. Currently Post-graduate student.

Since 1998 - Engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling.

2009 - European champion.

2014 - World champion.

2010 - Winner of the World Cup.

2012 - Winner of the silver medal of the Olympic Games.

Participant of three Olympic Games (2008 - Beijing, 2012 - London, 2016 - Rio),

2012 - Recognized as the best athlete of Armenia.

2012 - Honored Master of Sports.

Member of the Commission of Athletes of the World Wrestling Federation.

2019 - Elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.

December 9, 2018 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the “My Step” alliance of parties.

2010 - Awarded the “Vazgen Sargsyan” Medal (MD).

2012 - Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” of the II rank.

2014 - Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” of the I rank.

2014 - Gold Medal of YSU.
