Born on February 9, 1960 in Aygedzor village of Syunik province.

1982 - Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of YSU. Mechanic:

1987 - Postgraduate student at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU). Candidate of technical sciences.

1982 - 1983 - Researcher at the Yerevan Scientific Research Institute of Energy, scientific associate.

1988 - 1991 - Junior Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Mechanics of NAS (National Academy of Sciences) of the Republic of Armenia. Participated in the battles for Yeraskhavan self-defense, Commander of the Surenavan volunteer squad.

1996 - Chairman of the ARF Supreme Body.

1998 - Removed from the ARF.

Since 2015 - Founding member of the “Civil Contract” party.

2016 - Member of the Department of the “Civil Contract” party.

1990 - 1995 - Deputy of the Supreme Council. Member of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Language and Culture of the SC. Secretary of the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation” Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) faction.

2018 - 2019 - Elected Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #1, “Way Out” alliance of political parties).

Member of the Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs of the National Assembly.

Member of the “Way Out” faction.

December 9, 2018 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #5 of the “My Step” alliance of parties.

2016 - Awarded the “Drastamat Kanayan” Medal (Ministry of Defense).

Married, with three children.
