He was born on December 10, 1963.

In 1987 he finished Leninakan light textile technical school, received qualification of technician-technologist. In 2004 he graduated from Vanadzor Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University, received bachelor degree of Management with Management specialty.

In 1982-1983 he served in the Soviet army, participated in the Afghan war.

In 1983-1998 he worked in Kirovakan St. Shahumian tailor’s workshop.

In 1993-1998 he worked in Bazum workshop of Hats/Bread production union. In 1998-2007 he was director of Debed branch CJSC of the Armenian Power Network.

In 1990-1994 he took part in Nagorno Karabakh liberation movement and defense battles of the borders of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2002-2005 he was elected member of Vanadzor Community Elders.

He was member of Yerkrapah Volunteers’ Union of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman of Lori region Afghans’ Union.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly from the electoral district # 31.

He is married, has two children.
