He was born on June 10, 1974 in Yerevan.
In 1997 he graduated from the general medicine faculty of Yerevan State Medical University, in 1999 - the clinical residency of the chair of psychiatry. He is a psychiatrist.
1999-2001 he served at the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
1995-1997 he worked at the Aravot daily as a journalist, 1997-1998 - a journalist and an observer at the Haykakan Zhamanak daily. 1998-1999 he worked as a program coordinator at the Fund of the Spiritual Health NGO and an editor of the monthly bulletin. In February-June, 2002 he cooperated with Haykakan Zhamanak daily, publishing a number of political-analytical articles, at the same time he founded the NGO Center of Public Dialogue and Development. From 2002-2007 he worked in the staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia as an aide to the President of the Republic of Armenia.
He published numerous analytical-journalistic articles in the local and foreign press. He is also an author of a monograph.
On May 12, 2007 he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system of the Prosperous Armenia Party.
On May 21, 2008 he resigned by the fixed order of the Article 13 of the law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.
He is married and has a child.
