He was born on November 14, 1947 in Leninakan (Gyumri).

In 1991 he graduated from Moscow (RF) Textile and Light Industry All-Union Institute. He is an engineer-technologist.

1963-2007 he worked at Leninakan stocking-socks production association as an apprentice, head of production, head of branch and director of the factory. 1993-1996 he was a general director of the production association. 1996-2007 he was an executive director of Arshaluis OJSC production of socks.

He is an author of numerous innovative proposals.

On May 12, 2007 she was elected a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional system from the Prosperous Armenia Party.

He is married and has three children.
