She was born on February 15, 1959.
In 1982 she graduated from Yerevan State University – faculty of Armenian philology. Philologist, Teacher of Armenian language and literature.
In 1982-1991 she worked at editorial office of “Avangard” newspaper as a correspondent, then head of the division. In 1991-1994 – head of the “Yerkir” daily. From 1998 she works at the Public Radio, leads “Kamurj”/Bridge creative programme.
From 1989 she is a member of the Journalists’ Union. She is an author of a book and many articles.
On May 12, 2007 she was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by proportional electoral system from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party.
She is married and has a child.
