Arman Sahakyan was born on April 11, 1974 in Yerevan.

In 1995 he graduated from the department of art variety of Yerevan State Institute of Theatrical Art.

2007-2010- Graduated from the Public Management Department of the RA State Management Academy with excellent marks.

1995-1997 he served at the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

1994-1995 he worked as head of the sports theatrical sector at the Hrazdan sports complex Lease Enterprise (LE) CJSC. 1997-1998 he was director at Ardini Studio CJSC of the TV company Dar 21. 1998-1999 he was head of the research division of Hrazdan sports complex LE Ltd, then deputy director. 1999-2001 he was deputy director of the Spendiarian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. 2001-2004 – head of the department of youth affairs, culture and sport of Yerevan municipality staff. 2004-2006 he was deputy mayor of Yerevan.

For the organizational works among the youth and for the work, activity and contribution in that sphere as well as for the active participation in the organizational works of the events of the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide he was awarded the diploma of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

On February 23, 2008, by the decree of the Defence Minister was awarded with the medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan.”

On May 8, 2010 on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of victory of Shushi Liberation was awarded with a diploma and medal of “Defender of the Land.”

On May 12, 2007 he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Armenian Republican Party.

He is married and has three children.
