Manvel Badeyan was born on June 29, 1957 in Kamo (Gavar).
Mr. Badeyan received his degree in economics and mathematics in 1979 from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy.
In 1979 he started his career as a scientific associate in the Scientific Research Institute of Economics and Planning under the Armenia SSR State Plan. From 1980-1981 he served in the Soviet Army. In 1981 worked as an economist in the Yerevan Lighting Plant. From 1982-1984 he did his post-graduate studies at the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. He spent the next twelve years as a senior professor at the Yerevan Institute of Animal Husbandry and Treatment. From 1992-1995 he worked first as a head of division and later deputy director in the Institute of Management and Economic Reforms under the RA Government. In 1995 he founded the company Eurostan Ouyut.
1999-2003 was his first term in the NA (proportional system, Unity alliance). He was a head of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. He was a member of the Unity Faction.
From 2003-2007 he was a deputy in the NA (proportional system, RPA.). He was a member of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. He was a member of the Republican Party of Armenia Faction.
On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional system from the Republican Party of Armenia/RPA.
Mr. Badeyan is married and has four children.
