Moushegh Movsisyan was born on December 26, 1956 in the village of Aygek in the Edjhmiatsin region.
Mr. Movsisyan graduated from Aygek Secondary School in 1974.
From 1975-1977 he served in the Soviet Army. From 1978-1980 he worked as a physical education instructor in the Karmir Drosh State Farm of the Edjhmiatsin region. From 1988-1991 he was a volunteer fighting in Kharabagh first as a member of a guerilla group and later as its commander. From 1991-1993 he was a deputy in regional and local councils of Edjhmiatsin and the village of Aygek. In 1993 he was the assistant to the head of the Unit Headquarters. From 1993-1995 he was first the deputy and later acting head in the same headquarters. From 1994-1996 he was the head of Aygek Village Council and 1996-1999 he was the head of Aygek Community.
1999-2003 was his first term as a deputy in the NA (electoral district # 36) and he sat on the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs. Initially he was not a member of any faction or deputy group but later joined the Stability Deputy Group and then the People's Agrarian and Industrial Union Deputy Group.
On May 25, 2003 he was reelected to the NA from electoral district # 27 and he was on the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs. He was a member of the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group and had no political party affiliation.
Mr. Movsisyan was married.
He has died on September 20, 2004.
