Stepan Aslanyan was born on October 3, 1957 in Yerevan.
In 2000 he graduated from the Economics of Enterprises and Management Faculty at Abovian Grigor Narekatsi University. He is a production manager.
1974-1975 he worked as stage electrician at Hayfilm Film Studio.
1975-1977 he served in the USSR Armed Forces.
1978-1984 he worked as photographer at Yerevan Photo Studio, in different photo studios. 1984-1987 - photographer at Krasnovodsk (Turkmenistan) Service Center. 1987-1988 – engineer supplier at Krasnovodsk Regional Technical Service Center. 1992-1996 – Chairman at Abovian Erzrum cooperative. 1996-2000 he was engaged with free entrepreneurship. 2000-2004 – deputy director at Fruit-Vegetable CJSC. 2004-2006 - counselor to RA NA President. 2007-2008 – deputy director on coordinating construction works at Yerevan European Education CJSC. 2000-2005 - founding deputy director of the Armenian Union of Small Entrepreneurship. From 2005 up to now he is a chairman of the NGO.
On August 5. 2008 he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly from the proportional electoral system Country of Law Party.
He is married and has three children.
