Born on August 20, 1966 in Echmiadzin city.

1985-1987 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1993 - 1997 - Graduated from the Pedagogical and Sports Faculty of the Artsakh State University. Teacher of Primary Military Training and Physical Education.

2006 - Graduated from the Economics and Entrepreneur Faculty of the Ternopil State Economics University. Auditor. Engaged in boxing. Boxing judge of the Republican category in boxing.

1989 - 1994 - Participated in Artsakh war.

1992 - 2004 - Engaged in various positions in the Armed Forces of Armenia - Commander of battalion, of the military unit of the 5th Brigade.

1995 - 1997 - Commander of the “Ararat” 83rd motorized rifles battalion in Yeraskhavan, deputy commander of the regiment.

2000 - 2004 - Chief Military Officer at the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

2004 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #27). Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs. Not included in any factions or deputy groups.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA).

June 19, 2007 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly.

May 6, 2012 - Elected a Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

1994 - Awarded Medal “For Courage” (Republic of Armenia).

1996 - Awarded First Grade Order “Battle Cross” (NKR).

2003 - Awarded Honor Medal Insignia “Legal Service of the Russian Federation Armed Forces” (RF MD).

He is married, with four children.
