Born on August 20, 1966 in Echmiadzin city.

1993 - 1997 - Studied at the Stepanakert Pedagogical Institute and received specialty in Primary Military Training and Physical Education.

2000 - 2004 - Chief Military Officer at the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Defense.

1989 - 1995 - Participated in Karabakh war. Mr. Movsisyan was engaged in boxing. Boxing referee of the Republic of Armenia.

2004 - 2007 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #27.) Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs. Not included in any factions and deputy groups.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA.)

June 19, 2007 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

Mr. Movsisyan is married with three children.
