Born on November 7, 1957 in Hrazdan.

1976 -1978 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1998 - Graduated from the Grigor Magistros Charentsavan University.

2004 - Graduated from the Agricultural Academy of Armenia (now the Armenian National Agrarian Academy). Economist.

1978 -1983 - Worked in construction organizations of the cities of Rostov, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan (RF). 1983 -1987 - Expeditor at Hrazdan ATE (Auto Transport Enterprise).

1996 -1999 - Mayor of Hrazdan city.

 Participated in the liberation battles of Artsakh.

1988 - Established and headed the volunteer detachment “Sasun.”

2013 - 2015 - Member of the Management Council of the socio-political association “Civil Contract.” Founding member of the party “Civil Contract.”

Since 2016 - Member of the Board of the party.

1995 - 1999 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #75). Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the faction “Republic,” then member of the deputy group “Yerkrapah.”

1999 - 2003 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #54). Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the faction “Unity,” then member of the deputy group “Hayastan.”

2003 - 2007 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #41). Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly. Not included in factions and deputy groups.

June 07, 2007 - September 15, 2009 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #25).

Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republican Party of Armenia” faction.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list

 of the “Way Out” alliance of parties.
